When I am feeling just a little under the weather, the home remedies that I reach for first are usually single-ingredient plant-based remedies that have probably been used for centuries to ease minor aches and pains. Peppermint tea has been a favorite of mine for years, but frankincense essential oil is something I learned about just last year. If my digestive tract is a bit unsettled, I usually feel better after drinking one or two cups of peppermint tea. If I feel a migraine starting, I can often turn things around with a little frankincense diluted in a carrier oil and massaged into my neck. The best part is that "taking my medicine" is a very pleasant experience when it involves such lovely flavors and aromas!
